AED is helping the National Youth Leadership Network (NYLN), which is dedicated to developing a new generation of Disability leaders with logistical planning and arrangements for retreats and conferences. NYLN promotes leadership development and education so that all youth with disabilities have the opportunity to attain their maximum, unique, personal potential. The NYLN engages youth in national leadership conferences and institutes, mentoring programs, and youth directed research. Through its training conferences and institutes, NYLN has brought together over 150 youth with disabilities from across the United States, Guam, and Puerto Rico, with more to follow. This leadership training promotes the involvement of young leaders with disabilities in all aspects of society. The NYLN is a project of the Oregon Health & Science University, Oregon Institute on Disability and Development's National Center on Self Determination.
