Guatemala has the lowest percentage of GNP per capita investment in education in Central America. The purpose of this project is to improve education in Guatemala by increasing public awareness, conducting training, and assisting with the creation of education policy. The EQUIP 2 Guatemala project seeks to raise awareness of the importance of education within the private sector, Congress and Social Cabinet through training and leadership development. This program also assists in the policy arena by ensuring that all interested parties have the opportunity to contribute to the formulation of the country's new Education Reform Law.
