The project aims to provide local logistical support services for the coordination and implementation of the Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program  program.  This program is designed with the technical assistance of the CDC to build and strengthen the epidemiology and public health surveillance capacity of the Pakistani Ministry of Health through the development and placement of a cadre of competent field epidemiologists.











The project will begin by setting up an office in the Ministry of Health, providing logistical support for the project's opening conference, and supplying logistical support for the initial exchange of US and Pakistan epidemiologists between CDC Atlanta and Islamabad.
