The approach includes an innovative combination of service delivery, policy reform, behavior change communication addressing the individual, community, and policy levels, competency-based and measurable training, and sound and actionable operations research. AED (as the prime contractor) and its partners, the American College of Nurse-Midwives, Project Hope, Initiatives Inc., and Social Sectors Development Strategies (SSDS) bring a wide range of skills and expertise in maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, nutrition, and reproductive health.
