This project prepares Macedonian youth for employment through ICT (information and communication technology)-informed education programs and improves the quality and relevance of instruction at the primary and secondary school levels. A key focus of the activity is to assist the Macedonian government in creating an environment among primary schools that fosters students' comfort and facility with ICTs, installing hardware and software to support reform in the secondary schools, and raising public awareness of the value and importance of the Internet and other ICTs. Partnerships have been formed to publish a joint USAID Education newsletter to convey the status of various programs to donors, international organizations, Macedonian Government stakeholders, and the entire universe of secondary and primary schools. Furthermore, development continues of a database to assist the E-school.mk project in creating an installation tender. This database will systematically process all surveys / locations so that the four companies serving four different regions can receive individual location data and regional cumulative installation data that will ultimately result in effective project oversight.
