The Health Communication Partnership (HCP) links together five leading institutions (AED, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health/Center for Communication Programs, Save the Children, The International HIV/AIDS Alliance, and Tulane University's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine) to strengthen public health in the developing world through strategic communication programs. Through its strategic approach to communication, HCP and its partners work to create an environment that supports individuals, families, and communities to act positively for their own health and to advocate for, and have access to, quality services. This integrated communication approach to improving health is based on growing evidence that strategic health communication can influence behavior. In addition to the five main partners, HCP continues to grow with the addition of other international organizations in both the public and private sectors.
