GreenCOM helps USAID missions and developing country partners motivate people to practice environment-friendly behaviors. AED offers expertise in behavior change, social marketing, communications, education, and community participation. Community mobilization programs have resulted in widespread adoption of best practices in solid waste management, energy efficiency, and coastal zone management. Strategic, research-based communications campaigns have led to increased public awareness and action, and effective education programs have improved educators’ knowledge and skills. 







GreenCOM is developing a training course and other materials that explain the project's methodology and how to apply it. Because of GreenCOM, developing countries have better access to communications and education materials, including a practitioner’s handbook called "Environmental Education & Communication for a Sustainable World."
