This is a coordinated project that uses an evidence and researched-based approach to identify the most-at-risk groups, understand their needs and develop targeted interventions based on these results. This project has four interrelated goals: (1) Conducting operations research and second-generation surveillance to guide evidence-based HIV programming across the continuum of care. (2) Supporting establishment and expansion of interventions among the most-at-risk groups and in high transmission areas. (3) Strengthening capacities of the national response at all levels. (4) Maintaining and ensuring HIV/AIDS program information and results reporting. The project also includes an array of research, capacity building and clinical interventions with public, private and NGO sector partners as well as other donors and USAID implementing organizations. At the national level, the team is working with the Ghana Health Service and the National AIDS Control Program, at the regional level with health planning bodies, and at the district and community levels with multiple traditional and formal sector entities.
