The Ethiopia Child Survival and Systems Strengthening Project aims to increase the survival rates of young children in Ethiopia through improved vaccination and nutritional supplementation. In addition to increasing the number of fully vaccinated children, the program provides increased Vitamin A, iron and folate supplementation coverage for women and children and promotes exclusive breastfeeding for infants and continued breastfeeding to at least 24 months of age. The program also incorporates a host of other public health services, including the coordination of child health and family planning/reproductive health services; TB screening; STI prevention; and HIV/AIDS voluntary counseling and testing.
