EQUIP 2 / Mali Regional Action Plan/Decision Making Project (RAP-DMP)
Funder: USAID RAP-DMPis a capacity-building program assisting the Ministry of Educationthrough capacity strengthening in the areas of planning, financial andbudget management, and education objective and activity evaluation ineach education academy, or Acad?mie d’Education (AE), as part of theEducational Quality Improvement Program 2 (EQUIP2). RAP-DMP providestechnical assistance to decentralized Ministry of Education entities,such as Centers for Pedagogical Animation (CAPs) and AEs, to betterplan and manage activities and to offer support to the decentralizedgovernment structures at their levels. The project supports three thematic objectives—gender equity, HIV/AIDS, andspecial challenges faced in the North—and the following programmaticareas: set up adequate financial management and education planning andmonitoring; reinforcing the Ministry of Education commitment todecentralization; helping AEs strengthen their capacity; improving theuse of EMIS data analysis in decision-making; and leading andcoordinating the development of a Regional Education Development Fund(REDF).
