AED is conducting a two-year project to investigate how alternative assessment in CBO Schools and complementary alternative school settings can become a viable means of measuring student achievement as part of school accountability under the No Child Left Behind Act. This work follows on the heels of support from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation that resulted in a widely disseminated publication, CBO Schools: Profiles in Transformational Education, and creation of an AED-developed website, www.tedweb.org.
