The Open World Leadership Program brings emerging leaders from Eurasia to the United States to see American-style democracy in action and to help forge better understanding through interaction with Americans in local communities. This public diplomacy effort fosters communication among professionals and introduces participants to U.S. culture and society and to federalism and the U.S. democratic process. The program was originally created for delegations from Russia (Russian Leadership Program) and has expanded into other countries of Eurasia.
