Chief of Party (COP)
The Academy for Educational Development (AED) is recruiting for the position of Chief of Party (COP) for an anticipated USAID-funded civil society advocacy project in Morocco.The COP will be AED’s official representative in this project, with responsibility for overseeing all aspects of its performance, both technical and managerial.
Requirements: At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in civil society or related project management. A solid understanding of and experience in overall political process and governance institutions/process. Sound understanding of development, political, and civil society issues in Morocco, or other similar Middle East/North Africa countries, knowledge of the structure of governance and the role of the royalty in Morocco, and knowledge of Moroccan counterparts, individuals and organizations active or interested in civil society in Morocco is also highly desirable. Experience with large grants programs is desirable. It is expected that the Chief of Party would be a U.S. senior manager, with relevant experience and professional qualifications. International experience and strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are also required. Fluency in spoken and written French required. Fluency in spoken and written Arabic highly desirable. A master’s degree in international affairs, political science, communications or related social sciences is required. Program Manager

The ideal Program Manager would have at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the development of strategic and program documents, budget, timelines, and meeting reporting requirements and deadlines. He/she would have strong skills in establishing performance results, and monitoring and evaluation. He/she should possess sound understanding international development concepts and approaches. Experience with large grant programs is desirable. Experience and knowledge of development in the Middle East/North Africa context is highly desirable. A master’s degree in international affairs, political science, communications or related social sciences is required. Fluency in spoken and written French is required. Senior Training Coordinator
The Academy for Educational Development (AED) is recruiting for the position of Senior Training Coordinator for an anticipated USAID-funded civil society advocacy project in Morocco.
The ideal senior training coordinator would have at least eight years of progressively responsible experience in managing and coordinating the training workshops and seminars across program activities, especially related to civil society. It is expected that the senior training coordinator would be Moroccan and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to enjoy excellent relations with main Moroccan counterparts dealing with public issues. This role of senior training coordinator is proposed as a core team position due to the critical importance that training plays in the overall project. This role will provide opportunities for collaboration, synergies and increase project efficiency. He/she would also possess solid, knowledge of the structure of governance and the role of the royalty in Morocco. Knowledge of Moroccan counterparts, individuals and organizations active or interested in civil society is also highly desirable. A master’s degree in political science, communications or related social sciences is required. A post graduate degree is preferable. Fluency in written and oral Arabic and French language is required.

International Educators
AED is seeking applications from international educators with in-service and pre-service teacher training experience for long term assignments overseas from one to three years.
