These positions provide management, development and/or program leadership to a Center, or a corporate-wide business function. Ensures systems are developed, implemented, & monitored to assess the organization’s overall performance. Includes planning, organizing, coordinating, integrating, staffing, directing, & controlling various activities & resources associated with a major organizational function. Generally requires master’s degree with a minimum of 20 years of experience or a PhD with 17-20 years experience or an equivalent combination of education & experience.

Vice President (Grade 9)
Hiring Range:
Competitive, based on position requirements

These positions provide management, development and/or program leadership to a Group, Department, or a specific and substantial area of responsibility within a Group, Center or a Department. Contributes to expanding and/or developing Group, Center, and Department programs and contributes to the ongoing development and strategic planning, including mission/vision and overall goals and objectives. Generally requires master’s degree with a minimum of 20 years of experience or a PhD with a minimum of 10 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Associate or Deputy Director (Grade 8)

These positions provide management, development and/or program leadership to Centers, and Groups, in a specific technical area or profession. Work requires leadership and responsibility for a distinct and defined area of responsibility within a Center; oversight, and management of a portfolio of projects; oversight of a technical or program content for a particular subject area (quality control); oversight of development; responsibility and oversight for financial, contractual or operational issues. Generally requires Master’s degree with a minimum of 13 years experience OR a PhD with a minimum of 8 years experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Senior Center/Program/Project Director or Manager (Grade 7)

These positions provide senior-level management, development and/or program leadership to Centers, and Groups in a specific technical area or profession. Manages a specific program, project, Center, or area of responsibility within a Center. Generally requires master’s degree with a minimum of 13 years experience or a PhD with a minimum of 8 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Program/Project/Technical Officer (Grade 6)
Hiring Range:
Competitive, based on position requirements

These positions provide mid-level technical program/project support, professional advice and guidance to Centers, Groups, or Departments, in a specific technical area or profession. Manages a specific program, project, or activity within a program or department. This level includes manager, director, and chief of party positions. Generally requires master’s degree with a minimum of 7 years experience or a PhD with 1-2 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Program/Project/Technical Associate (Grade 5)
Hiring Range:
Mid $30’s to Mid $40’s

These positions provide senior administrative and program support to Centers, Groups, or Departments in the areas of finance, budget, personnel, travel, and other administrative functions. May also be responsible for some entry level technical assistance and project management. Generally requires bachelor’s degree with 3-4 year experience or a master’s degree with minimal experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Program/Project/Technical Assistant (Grade 4)
Hiring Range:
Upper $20’s to High $30’s

These positions provide administrative support, to Centers, Groups, or Departments, in the areas of budget, personnel, travel, and other administrative functions. Typical tasks may include word processing, maintaining files and databases, coordinating meetings and travel, financial tracking, producing presentation materials and creating basic spreadsheets. Generally requires high school diploma and several years of on-the-job office experience or a bachelor’s degree and some experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Clerk (Grade 3)
Hiring Range:
Minimum $23,000

These positions provide basic clerical and administrative support to a variety of people & functions. Tasks are typically manual and may include operating standard office equipment, filing, answering telephones, keeping records, and preparing and distributing mail. Requires high school diploma or several years of on-the-job work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

International positions are recruited as specific needs arise. These are fixed-term assignments in developing countries that are at the Senior Officer level. Such positions offer competitive salaries, benefits and allowances and may be renewable based on performance and contract funding.

Executive positions are advertised as part of specialized searches as needs arise.
